Publisher Description
In association with the Buteyko Clinic (www.buteykoclinic.com)
This app is designed to help users of the Buteyko breathing method manage their asthma and reduce reliance on medication. Reduced breathing exercises become a breeze with Breathe Easy Asthma Timer. It guides you through the process with audio cues and voiceover so you are left to concentrate on your breathing rather than timing. Your measurements are also logged so you can easily track your progress over time.
Main Features:
- Full Exercise 30 min
- Short Exercise 10 min
- Control Pause Only option
- Automatically detects morning Control Pause
- Statistics: All completed exercises are logged
Voiceover
A full voiceover is provided by Patrick McKeown (Buteyko Practitioner Trainer). Patrick's voice will calmly guide you through the various stages of the exercise giving you essential advice and information at the relevant moment.
Audio Alerts
Should you choose to switch off the voiceover feature (at any point in the process), a number of subtle audio cues will remind you that a timer is in progress. Perfect if you're in a quiet environment such as an office. Don't forget you can also just plug in your headphones!
Info on Every Screen
An info tab is always available in the bottom right of the screen with information relevant to the current section. You can also restart or cancel an exercise from here.
Progress Bar
During a reduced breathing exercise a progress bar will be displayed at the top of the screen. This lets you know how far through the current exercise you are.
Your Stats
All completed exercises are saved to this screen. It displays all the measurements for the Full and Short exercises and calculates an average Control Pause. In the case of a "Control Pause Only" reading it will automatically detect if it's a morning control pause and display an icon accordingly.
